Charlie Kramsky talks about how he got his start and how he got where he is today!
"Charlie began his career as a staff engineer at the famed Avatar Studios in NYC. During his time there Charlie worked with artists such as Paul McCartney, Tony Bennet, Elvis Costello, Bobby McFerrin, Lenny Kravitz, Roberta Flack, The Roots, Sugarland, Ray LaMontagne, Wynton Marsalis and many more. He also worked along side legendary producers Phil Ramone, David Kahne and Kevin Killen and others while on staff at Avatar.
In 2012, Charlie moved from NYC to Austin to take the role of Chief Engineer at Blue Rock Studio. While at Blue Rock, Charlie engineered the GRAMMY nominated Best Folk Album "A Reasonable Amount of Trouble" by the late Jesse Winchester. He also worked on projects with Rupert Neve, Nels Cline (Wilco) Christopher Cross and many more.
In 2015, Charlie left Blue Rock to become a freelance recording/mixing engineer. His work extends from regional to national artists"
